In this class, you will learn the fundamentals of artisan bread baking using a sourdough culture, also known as natural leavening. The breads we produce at Crust & Crumbles are slow fermented over several days. This class provides you the experience of crafting an artisan loaf that usually takes 72 hours in the span of 4 hours. Our team carefully prepares each step of the process in order for you to learn all aspects of sourdough baking without the long wait.

We will go through mixing, dividing, shaping, scoring, and baking of the loaves together in a fun, relaxed environment. You will get to bake off the loaves in our stone hearth oven but also get to learn how to recreate the effects of a commercial bread oven at home. 

Ideal for beginners. 

Each participant will receive a "Bread-Baking Essentials" starter kit to take home including a proofing basket, dough cutter, an instructional booklet, and a jar of our sourdough starter as well as take home the loaves baked in class.

Space is limited to 8. Must have a minimum of 6 to hold the class.

CANCELLATION: If you need to cancel, you will receive 70% of your money back with notice up to 10 days before the start of the class. After this period, the fee is not refundable but transferable so you are welcome to send a friend in your place. In the event that we have to cancel the class due to unforeseen circumstances, you will have the choice to take the class on an alternate date if available or receive a 100% refund.
