Tomorrow is the opening day of the Rockford City Market and that means summer has officially arrived! We cannot wait to meet all the new and old vendors, as well as make some new friends to break bread with. Our booth will be located next to the Cheese People at the Market & Water St. intersection by the river.
Within the last couple of months, so much has happened - Crust & Crumbles got a brand new look thanks to our amazing designer Kristin Beyers. We finally finished all the work on our commercial kitchen and moved in just last weekend. Launched our new website - hope you like it! And, of course, tirelessly tested our recipes to get them just right.
Every Friday we will have white, white wheat rye, and whole wheat artisan breads. But here's just a few of the specialty ingredient varieties waiting to make an appearance during the season - walnut & black mission fig, olive & 3 cheese semolina and drunken hog (bourbon bacon bread)!
This week's feature is our Baker & Brewer bread made with spent grains from the Prairie Street Brewing Co. Spent grain adds a great depth of flavor, texture and nutritional value - we are pretty excited for you to try them out.
